For the construction of my fly rods I use only the very best material. The blank, the heart of the fly rod, is made of fiberglass or carbon fiber, these are all hand rolled in the USA. The handle is made from selected premium grade cork from Portugal and is given its final shape in my workshop, according to the customer's wishes. Reel seat and rings are also exclusively high quality products from 'Snake Brand', 'Lemke' or 'Perfect Europe'. The matching spacers to the reel seat made of various woods are also all made in my store.

It takes countless handcrafted steps to make a fly rod. For me personally, the feeling of outwitting a fish with a 'self-made' rod is all the more beautiful. I wish that I can pass on this enthusiasm to everyone who fishes with a Stegemann fly rod.
